Yes, my day is so dull that this is the title of my blog entry. And Yes, i have a huge pimple on my left cheek.. Sigh...
K was supposed to go to work on the farm again this morning, while i lied in bed.. But when i woke up after half an hour, he was back in the house cause he couldn't find Tony. I suppose there's no work in the farm on Fridays / weekends.. Anyway, it started to rain soon after. The rain lasted the entire freaking day.
I had one slice of tuna and one slice of peanut butter sandwich for breakfast with my hot milo, then started to prepare pasta salad together with K for our lunch. We asked Tony and Donna if they wanted some, and Tony said yes.. he seems to like the pasta salad = ) Donna didn't like anything with tuna, i later realized..
We left the house around 12pm, and it was still raining. The plan was to go back to the library to read. I wanted to come home around 5pm to help Donna make burgers for dinner tonight. = )
And so, we spent the entire day at the library reading. K read more of Lee Kuan Yew's memoirs, and I read 9 chapters of "The Last Juror" by John Grisham. Really hate that now i am stuck halfway through the story, and i can't borrow the book cause i am not a resident in the area.
We took a lunch break at 3pm and headed to the food court downstairs to have our pasta. I saw an Asian stall selling fish ball noodles and was so tempted, but one bowl cost $7.50 Daylight robbery man!! And the photo really just showed noodles with fishballs and nothing else. Not even some minced meat like the Singapore ones!! Terrible.
K and I left the library at 4pm, went to the car and packed up the boot so we could have some space to put our luggage tomorrow when we left. We got into a slight peak hour jam and by the time we reached home it was 530pm. But Donna was not home yet. She arrived home about 15 mins later with Abi (her eldest son's girlfriend), and we got to work. I helped to cut the lettuce, capsicum and tomatoes, sliced the burger buns, then put the ingredients and sauce on them. Donna fried the meat patties and eggs sunny side up, and toasted the french fries.
By the time we were done with each of the 6 burgers, i didn't know how to eat them cause they were so huge!! Both mine and K's eggs leaked the minute we sinked our teeth into the burger. By the time i was done with my burger i was stuffed to the neck. Donna asked everyone if we wanted her home baked banana cake. I was so tempted but cannot eat anymore. Will probably have it for breakfast tomorrow cause it looks damn good. The family has the habit of having "tea" after dinner, which usually comprises of a hot drink and cakes / cookies. And they do that even after they have dessert.. So interesting.. but i still can't get used to it so usually me and k skipped "tea"..
The family is in the living room now, watching 2 dvds that Donna rented today: "Revolutionary Road" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", both of which we have watched. I've just packed up some of our clothes, so at least tomorrow won't have to pack too much stuff and waste time. K and I intend to leave around 9am so at least we can have lunch at Whitianga area before we head to the beach house. Wonder how the house will be like.. Never stayed in a beach house before leh!! = )
