Yesterday K and me caught the movie with 2 good friends at Suntec Eng Wah.. it was an ESRC event where we got tickets for half the price..
When we got to the cinema, there was this super long queue outside "The Rock".. at first we thought people were giving away free stuff or something.. For a while, i wondered if the people at the end of the queue knew there were queuing up to go to church, or they thought they were queuing for free stuff! = )
Anyway, the movie was not too bad, although i felt the first 2 episodes were much better. Jet Lee was the evil dragon emperor, and he kept burning himself up and turning into funny creatures during the show. They didn't use the same actress to play Evy (Brendon Fraser's wife) and i thought that was quite disappointing. I still prefer the original actress. Then there was Michelle Yeoh, whose name didn't appear in the thriller fot the movie because she is still a nobody in Hollywood. She sounds really weird when she is speaking in English, somehow..
We missed the first 5 minutes of the show, cause we didn't expect it to start on time.. so had to find out seats in the dark, and squeezed our way through an entire row of people to get to our seats right at the end.. i think i stepped on somebody's toe with my 3-inch heels during the process.. oops! = P
Overall, not too bad a show. Nonetheless, not something i would pay the full $9 for..
