The Unbalanced Libra..

We were supposed to meet up at the Kallang MRT station at 730pm, then proceed to Jumbo seafood restaurant from there. K and I had this voucher where we can get $50 discount for every $150 spent, and we thought it was a good deal. Also, i had craving for chilli crab! = )

K had told me the night before that he won't be able to pick me up from work as he was busy, so he told me to take the train to Kallang myself. So i left the office at 715pm, took the train, and reached Kallang MRT at 730 sharp. There was nobody there. Which i thought strange since B was usually very punctual. So i called B, and he told me that he was in EK's car with S. Apparently, they thought K was sending me to the restaurant straight and that we will be meeting there. I was already quite pissed then, because before i left office, K had told me he was going to go for a meeting at 730pm and will only reach the restaurant at 815pm. Then this! = ( I was fuming mad by then.. and so I text K to scold him for messing up the arrangements, for not picking me up, and for going into a stupid meeting when he's supposed to be celebrating my birthday with me. He even said he might pick F up from work and then head to the restaurant together. Somehow, that made me even more upset. So i text him and asked him not to come instead. He could pick F and the 2 of them can go for supper together.

I cried while waiting for EK to pick me up from the bus stop. But of course, nobody knew. In the car, S kept apologizing to me for the mis-communication, saying that it's not K's fault but her fault blah blah... I was not upset at anybody but K.. We reached the restaurant at 8pm, and settled down. Ordered chilli & pepper crab, fried buns, deep fried squids, beancurd, mee goreng, deer meat and scallop with yam. As all of us were quite hungry, we decided to have the food served first while waiting for K and F.

By 830pm, both K and F still had not arrived. We already had 2 dishes served and decided to ask the wait staff to stop serving while we chit chatted. I got hungrier and madder by the minute. The duo finally walked in at 9pm, apologizing for being 1 hour late. I couldn't believe it. I was so mad i didn't even acknowledge their presence. The rest of the food was served, and i talked to everyone else except K and F. The conversation turned to our Perth trip accomodation, and F cut in mid-way to apologize for not doing anything at all to prepare for the trip. I just looked at her with a "I'm glad you realized!" look. I was mad at her also for her utter lack of interest in this trip. The only thing she did was to purchase the travel insurance for us. Period. And her excuse was that she was busy. Like we are not!

Anyway, dinner went on.. somehow my mood got better. I was really upset at the whole episode, but I kept telling myself that i shouldn't get mad at these small things.. Nobody died so it's no big deal. Or maybe it was the good food that cheered me up. I had mango pudding for dessert. Then the time came eventually for my birthday cake. They had gotten Choco Exotic from Four leaves .. = ) I also received 3 presents. A renoma key pouch and JLo perfume from EK, S and F. And a Swarwoski crystal pendant necklace from B.

After we left the restaurant, we went for a stroll along the bridge outside the restaurant. We talked, and played with 2 white maltese dogs running about on the field. Halfway through, I gathered them in a circle and told them about my birthday wish. I told them that I had wished for all of them to be very happy, very healthy, and very wealthy. Because i love them all very much. Then i apologized for pissing them off in the past. I cried. S cried too, K squeezed my arm, and i think B was trying hard not to cry. We shared a group hug, and i asked for us to remain close no matter what happens..

We parted shortly after that at 1145pm, 15 mins before my birthday. I felt like the happiest girl in the world. I have a wonderful husband and 4 amazing friends who love me..
