Our dinner was at the hotel-operated Italian restaurant DOMVS. There was a private birthday party in the function room when we arrived, and i thought to myself: I'll like to have a party like that on my 30th birthday! I love that the restaurant had a really nice and private feel about it, and it was Italian - my favourite!
Our dinner was semi fine-dining. We had champagne to start. K doesn't like anything alcoholic, so he barely had a few sips before he left the whole glass there the entire night. And the sips were only because we toasted.
To start off the meal, the really handsome restaurant manager served us some meat loaf / ham thingie with chicken essence. Frankly, 90% of the dishes I had i didn't know what the hell i was eating. They all had so fancy names! But the meat loaf thingie was really nice. And we were supposed to drink the chicken essence thingie after eating to neutralize our taste buds.
For appetizers, K had octopus rings with vegetables, and some crispy bread. I had 2 round pieces of cheese with blueberries. Mine was supposed to be a creation by a 2-star Michellin chef!
For our main courses, I had a dish created by the 2-star Michellin chef again. Raviolone stuffed with potato and beetroot (left). K had lamp chop with some crispy crackers and mint jelly (right). ARGHH.. I wished i had copied down all their fancy names from the menu!

Last but not least. Desserts! Mine was ordered off the menu. The handsome restaurant manager suggested two items off the menu, and i chose the banana tart with asparagus ice-cream. Totally cool right?! But when the dish arrived, it looked and tasted just like banana roti prata. But high class one lah.. I like the asparagus ice-cream though. Very unique. K on the other hand, ordered from the menu this orange chocolate dome with rosemary ice-cream. Not bad, but I preferred my banana roti prata! = ) I have no idea why they call it banana tart!
To finish things off, we were served pralines.. We were so full by then that we only consumed 2 of those.. We then left shortly after, happy and satisfied. It felt really good just walking off like that after a fancy dinner without paying! = )
Still too full to want to go back to our room and rest, we decided to go upstairs to take a look at our wedding venue. There was a wedding going on at that time, and we went upstairs just in time to see the couple getting ready for their 2nd march-in. We reminisce on how we were in the exact same positions one year ago at this same spot.. Time flies .. = )
