I'm so bored!!! Just finished planning out the itinerary and driving routes for my Perth trip next month.. It's only 330pm, and i already feel like going home. Nothing to do in the office.. and everyone else seems so busy! = (
Yesterday was EK's birthday celebration dinner... The usual gang of 5 met up at this fusion restaurant in Bugis called "Indulgez".. Food was super bad.. but i tried not to say much cause S was the one who had suggested this place, and i didn't want to make her feel too bad.. Our dear friend B even wanted to complain when he tasted my slipper lobster and crabmeat linguine cause it really tasted super bad.. But i asked him not to cause i could see S was feeling a bit uncomfortable from all our complaints on our food.. the only thing i enjoyed was my drink: Cookies and Cream Milk Shake.. tasted like McDonald's McFlurry but less sweet..
For desserts, we had brownies and belgian waffles. S had written a birthday note on a piece of paper, rolled it up, and asked the waiter to hide the roll of paper in the brownie to be served to EK. I thought that was a very interesting idea.. abit like the origins of mooncakes.. When the brownie came with the candle, we sang EK a birthday song, and gave him his presents.. B had brought him a set of 3 miniature Singapore Airlines metal alloy model planes (including the A380).. don't think EK can appreciate it, although the set doesn't come cheap.. the last time i was on board i had wanted to buy but it was out of stock.. one set cost about S$56.
After blowing out the candle, EK kept asking all of us to have the brownie too since our desserts had not arrived.. but everyone politely refused, secretly wanting, but worried that we might accidentally reveal the paper inside.. so EK and S ate the brownie while we watched.. in the end, i think EK got suspicious that we were all not eating, plus the fact that i asked S if she needed help cause she was like trying to eat the brownie herself to reveal the paper.. = ) So he found the paper, read it and kept it.. we were not allowed to see what was written according to S.. = ) We discussed about our Perth trip after dinner, and then went seperate ways at around 10plus.. by then, we were the last folks in the restaurant.. the people there were quite nice. They didn't come and tell us they were closing, instead they just dimmed the lights and stood there waiting.. it was so subtle we didn't even realize that we were the last ones..
During dinner, I told B about my Paris trip in November, and asked him to see if he can exchange or schedule his flights so he can be in Paris at the same dates as me.. it'll be so fun if the 2 of us can go tour Paris together!! Actually, having him also has its advantages, cause i can extend my trip and stay in his free hotel.. haha.. save on accomodation.. Super exciting! I did try and contact my friend in Paris, who brought me around when i was there the last time.. wondered if i could crash at her place for a few days. For some reason, she hasn't reply.. = (
K and I will be going over to my parents' place for dinner tonight. Initially, we had wanted to go jogging at East Coast, but K has no running shoes (because i had "accidentally" threw his old torn pair away). So hopefully, the maid won't cook all the chicken dishes again this time!!
