Today is the 15th day of the Chinese lunar calendar, and the worst Mid-Autumn i can remember.
K and I went to visit my grandma in hospital today. She was dozing off half the time, put on drip, looked totally weak, and had all these transparent tubes poking out from various part of her body. The doctors said she had high fever, urinary tract infection, and a mild relapse of stroke. They will be putting her under observation for the next few days.
And my mooncake party has been postponed. Today is the actual day for mooncakes and lanterns, but all my mooncakes and paper lanterns are now sitting on my living room table.
F wanted to go jogging with K and I this morning at Pasir Ris park, but the looming dark clouds made us think twice. So we decided to jog in the evening. Just when K and I got changed and ready to go, F called and said Pasir Ris was raining. 5 minutes later, our side started to rain. So we decided to jog at Changi Village instead. When we reached Changi, it started to rain. And the famous Hawker center happened to be under renovation, so we couldn't have the supposedly very good hor fan. Eventually, we settled for some very good hainanese chicken rice..
At least there is a happy ending.. = )
