I finally satisfied my craving for claypot rice when i had it for lunch today.. After no news from him for a week, SC emailed me and Em to ask us out for lunch.. I told him about my craving and less than an hour later, ZOOM! we were in his car headed towards Chinatown..
I can always count on good ol' SC! He's such a big brother to me, from the time we worked in the same team, even until now that he's left the company and joined a company whose office is in the building next to ours.. I still remembered the last time when i had a craving for Kueh Ah Boon. He didn't know what the hell it was, but still brought me and Em out for lunch at this hawker center where there are a few shops selling kueh. I didn't manage to get my Kueh Ah Boon.. Of the 3 shops i asked, none of them knew what the hell Kueh Ah Boon was.. A few days later, i got an email from SC with this website that sells all kinds of kuehs, INCLUDING my Kueh Ah Boon.. So sweet right!! = )
Lunch was not bad, but not as good as i thought it was.. I tried out the psycho-motor trick with SC and Em over lunch, asking them to rotate the right foot clockwise while writing the number 6 with their right index finger.. We had a good laugh over it. After lunch, Em and SC went for dessert, but i skipped. They then accompanied me to shop for paper lanterns, and the little "Piglet in a basket" cookies for my mooncake party this weekend. As we made our way out, I saw an escalator right in the middle of the hawker center. Not a common sight, i thought!
Eventually, I didn't manage to buy any paper lanterns. I wanted something plain and cheap, but the ones in Chinatown were elaborate and expensive. So i ended up buying 6 "Piglet in a basket" cookies in different colored baskets. One for each of us for the party this weekend! = )

During the ride along Chinatown, i saw that the Mid-Autumn decorations were already up. All the lanterns and flowers.. it was such a pretty sight!
